CNN analyst and ardent GOP advisor Alice Stewart died at the age of 58.
There is a possibility of a medical emergency, law enforcement informed CNN.
At the age of 58, Alice Stewart, a longtime GOP advisor and political analyst on CNN, passed suddenly.
According to police enforcement, Stewart’s body was discovered on Saturday morning outside her neighborhood in Northern Virginia. According to the officers, there is no reason to suspect foul play and that the cause is probably a medical issue.
Stewart was born in Atlanta on March 11, 1966. She moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, to work as a news anchor after starting her career as a local reporter in Georgia. Later on, she worked for Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee’s office and 2008 presidential campaign as his director of communications.
Additionally, she served as the communications director for a number of Republican contenders for the presidency, such as Senator Ted Cruz, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum, and former Representative Michele Bachmann of Minnesota.
She began contributing to CNN as a political analyst in 2016. The most recent appearance she made was on the Friday edition of “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.”
Politicians and colleagues of Stewart responded to the news on Saturday, calling it unexpected and heartbreaking. Her knowledge and kindness were what they remembered about her.
“To all of us at CNN, Alice was a dear friend and colleague,” CEO Mark Thompson wrote in a Saturday email to the workforce. “An Emmy Award-winning journalist and political fighter who added a remarkable shine to CNN’s coverage,She was well known for her great compassion in addition to her political knowledge. We are in deep sorrow over this incredible loss.”
